What would life be like without a fast-acting medicine that takes away the pain in a safe and positive way? Aspirin and Acetaminophen are drugs that can relieve the pain of everyday bruises and headaches to relieving the pain of diseases and cancers. Aspirin is an anti-inflammatory drug that relieves pain and reduces fever. Acetaminophen is an active ingredient found in many over-the-counter and prescription medicines that help to relieve pain and reduce fever. These drugs if used correctly can be very helpful towards diminishing your pain. The safety of the people of the world is the top priority always, but without drugs like aspirin and Acetaminophen that can soothe the pain of people, the "safety" of the people is in question. We as a group believe that chemicals should continued to be used in medicine.

Robert Preidt of the National Institute of Health states in a recent Health Day article from February 5, 2010, that patients using alternative remedies to drugs that contain chemicals are more likely to misuse prescribed drugs such as Aspirin or Acetaminophen which may result in flare ups, liver disease, heart disease, and even death. The different herbal and alternative remedies that we can all find on the shelves of different drug stores and pharmaceutical companies are not considered by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as drugs, but rather treats it as dietary supplements. This means that the different herbal remedies that we buy to stay healthy or treat illnesses are not regulated by the FDA as it would with prescription medications, which means that the quality and effectiveness of these herbal remedies can vary from one brand to the next. Studies have found that aspirin keeps blood from clotting, thereby reducing the risk of heart attack and stroke. And, if taken during an attack, aspirin has been found to reduce the severity.
