Essay 2: Examining Art
On September 11th, 2001 an event occurred that has changed the world and how everybody lives today. Nineteen militants with the Islamic group Al-Qeada hijacked four airliners and carried out suicide attacks in the United States. Two of the planes hit the World Trade Center, and was filled with 20,000 gallons of jet fuel causing massive explosions and leaving a huge burning hole near the 80th floor of the 110 story skyscraper! As everyone was panicking, video cameras in the towers were showing what was happening inside the building on television as they believed this was just a freak accident. Until another United Airlines Flight turned sharply out of the sky towards the World Trade Centers and hit the 60th floor also causing a massive explosion that sent everyone in the towers running and panicking. It was less then fifteen minutes after both planes hit the Twin Towers that the building could not hold up anymore and fell to the ground as millions were watching on television. As the Twin Towers were falling then another plane slammed into the Pentagon in Washington D.C. It was a tragic day for the United States, many lost their lives and the estimated number of deaths for the Twin Towers was 3,000 and 400 of them was policemen and firefighters trying to save everyone in the towers.

Many citizens are still angry about what happened on this day and the United States have been looking for Osama bin Laden who was finally then caught and killed on May 2nd, 2011. Nearly everyone in the United States wasn't sad when the news came out that Osama bin Laden died because he was the one that organized this Islamic group who had killed thousands of Americans and set the United States in a panic.
