“I believe that freedom is the deepest need of every human soul,” (George Bush). As president of the United States of America, Bush knew this as well as anybody. However, a great way of life such as freedom can turn a person evil in 2.5 seconds. Osama Bin Laden wanted peace and security for Palestine very badly, badly enough to make him do the ultimate crime. He felt as if Palestine was his responsibility to keep safe. To Bin Laden there was only one way to get his Holy City back, attack the people who were guarding the city. That is when Osama Bin Laden planned 9/11 against the United States. The 9/11 attacks were caused because Osama Bin Laden wanted to prevent the government from creating further damage, he wanted security over Palestine, and was angry that the United States had troops stationed in Saudi Arabia.
A factor in how 9/11 was caused was that Osama Bin Laden wanted to prevent the American government from creating further damage. “The removal of these governments is an obligation upon us…” Osama Bin Laden felt that because of his religion and of the past of Palestine, that it was in his duty to have full custody. Removing The United States’ troops in Palestine would lessen the security for the Jews living in the area. That would give al-Qaida a chance to move into Palestine and take back what was once theirs. America did not remove their troops creating more damage to Bin Laden’s plan to have Palestine back. “These governments have surrendered to the Jews, and handed them most of Palestine, acknowledging the existence of their state over the dismembered limbs of their own people.” Osama Bin Laden spent much of his time trying to get American troops to stop giving aid to the Jews in the past. America, however, did not listen to Osama’s pleads. This then caused him to gain hatred toward America, until he felt it was time to show The United States that he wanted control.
